Most likely where you’ll be starting off your trip, Dublin will provide you with plenty to see and do – filled with numerous attractions that all help to make it a city rich in history and culture. You’ll have the chance to marvel at top sights like that of St. Patrick’s Cathedral and Oscar Wilde’s Trinity College while stopping at some of the many inviting pubs and restaurants dotted throughout the city. Once you’ve had your fair share of Dublin highlights, consider taking a short drive to its many beautiful surrounding areas including Kildare, Cashel, Limerick, and Ennis where even more unique sights await your visit along the way.

HEAD OUT ON A WEST COAST EXCURSION

Ireland’s breathtaking Atlantic coastline should be next on your list as you’ll get the opportunity to first stop off at the world famous Cliffs of Moher – soaring up to 668 feet, creating the most prime panorama of the Clare coast. Your west coast excursion should then continue with a lovely drive across The Burren – a limestone plateau – that will eventually land you in one of the most vibrant spots on this side of the country named Galway. Wander into the many colorful shops, relax at a café, or enjoy a Guinness in one of the fantastic pubs located there.

VISIT THE ARAN ISLANDS

Embarking on a quick 45-minute cruise from Rossaveal, you’ll soon arrive at the first stop along the way, Kilronan on Inishmore – the largest of the Aran Islands and one with some of the most fascinating history, which is best learned and explored through a local historian during your visit! After finding a great spot for lunch and feeling rejuvenated to continue your Aran Islands adventure, be sure to make your way to Dun Aengus, a prehistoric clifftop where even more captivating history will be discovered, along with plenty of prime photo opps! And if you decide you love the island feel, be sure to add Garnish Island to your list of places to see as well!

EMBARK ON THE RING OF KERRY

Another adventure that will take you through some of Ireland’s greatest attractionsstarting and ending in Killarney, Co Kerry. Covering a total of 170 kilometers filled with stunning landscape and scenery, enchanting towns like that of Watervill, Sneem, and Kenmare while also providing stops at Ross Castle, Muckross House, and the Gap of Dunloe along the way. The Ring of Kerry is best done by rental car where you can decide when and where to stop during your journey – but always ensure you have comfortable shoes on for walking about!

DISCOVER WATERFORD, BLARNEY, & CORK

Your historic journey through Ireland should continue with a visit to Waterford, the country’s oldest city. Next up along the way is one of the most popular attractions in all of Ireland – Blarney Castle – most famed for its kissing stone that you will not want to miss out on. Once you’ve gotten your fill of Blarney, be sure to hop on over to Cork, the country’s second largest city and one filled with plenty to see and do.

SIP ON BEER AT THE GUINNESS STOREHOUSE

No trip to Ireland would ever be complete without a visit to the Guinness Storehouse in Dublin City! With over 4 million visitors since the year 2000, you can certainly say this is one of the most famous attractions in all of Ireland – and for good reason too! Enjoy one (or a few) glasses of that smooth, dark, and deep brew that has made such a worldwide impact on the beer scene as a whole.
