British Indian Ocean Territory

The British Indian Ocean Territory (BIOT) is an overseas territory of the United Kingdom situated in the Indian Ocean halfway between Tanzania and Indonesia. The territory comprises the seven atolls of the Chagos Archipelago with over 1,000 individual islands – many very small – amounting to a total land area of 60 square kilometres (23 sq mi).

It is one of only two British territories that drives automobiles on the right side of the road, the other being Gibraltar. This has been said to be because the territory was previously occupied by the French, but France ceded the islands to the UK long before the invention of the automobile.

This tropical paradise of beautiful beaches, it is renowned for its stunning sunsets, breathtaking scenery, awesome surf, and pristine rain forests.

Diane has always been our go-to travel agent for all of our family vacations.

Her knowledge of the field is extremely impressive, which has led my wife and I to continue to use her for all future trips. Whenever I want to get away for either a long weekend or a 10-day trip, I always contact Diane first. She always comes back with well prepared itineraries and estimated prices as well. Before booking, she always triple checks to make sure we get the best price - can't beat that service. I have recommended Diane to all of my friends as she is an absolute wonderful person and travel agent.
